YKINGS4X4 – Freight Product Cover Policy (Australia)
This Freight Product Cover Policy explains how Big Sam and Sons Pty Ltd T/A YKINGS4X4 (ABN 14651442723) offers and manages optional freight protection for goods purchased through www.ykings4x4.com.au.
It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Refund & Return Policy, and Shipping Policy.
1. When You Can Purchase Freight Product Cover
Freight Product Cover may be added at the time of checkout (online, phone, or in-store).
If the option does not appear during checkout, please contact us before completing your purchase at [email protected] or 1300 959 511.
In some cases, this cover may still be added shortly after purchase, provided that the order has not yet been dispatched.
If you choose not to purchase Freight Product Cover, any loss or damage caused during transit is at your own risk.
Upon request, YKINGS4X4 will provide shipping and tracking information for your order.
2. What Freight Product Cover Includes
Freight Product Cover protects against:
Products lost in freight
Products stolen in freight
Products damaged in freight, where repair costs are 60% or more of the purchase value
Products that can no longer be used for their intended purpose and cannot be repaired
3. Eligible Products
This cover applies to:
All canopies
All steel and aluminium trays
All bull bars and side steps
All products containing plastic or composite materials
4. Cost of Cover
Freight Product Cover costs 10% of the product value (excluding shipping).
Each order requires its own Freight Product Cover and cannot be combined with other orders.
5. Terms & Conditions of Cover
Customers may use their own freight company. YKINGS4X4 will load and dispatch the item at no extra cost, but is not liable for any loss or damage once the product is in the carrier’s possession.
YKINGS4X4 is not a freight forwarding company — shipping is provided as an additional customer service.

6. What the Cover Does Not Include
Freight Product Cover does not cover:
Manufacturing defects (covered under warranty)
Damage caused by the customer or installer
Minor scratches, scuffs, or dents from normal freight handling
Damage reported more than 24 hours after delivery
Damage caused by natural disasters (e.g. flood, storm, fire)
Products received or collected before the cover was purchased
7. How to Make a Claim
To make a claim under Freight Product Cover:
Notify YKINGS4X4 within 24 hours of delivery by emailing [email protected].
Provide clear photos and documentation within 3 days of our request.
Cooperate with our investigation process. Claims may take up to 60 days depending on the freight carrier’s response.
Late or incomplete claims may be declined.
8. Remedies (at our discretion)
If your product qualifies for Freight Product Cover, YKINGS4X4 may choose one of the following actions:
(A) Replace the product
(B) Refund the shipping cost charged by the freight forwarder
(C) Pay compensation equal to the repair cost
(D) Repair the product
YKINGS4X4 may also cover freight collection and return costs up to $10,000.
Any amount beyond this limit is the customer’s responsibility.
All remedies under this policy are final and exclusive — no further compensation (e.g. lost profit, delay costs) will be provided.
9. Maximum Liability
YKINGS4X4’s maximum liability under this policy is limited to:
The product’s purchase value, plus
Up to $10,000 in freight collection/return costs (if applicable)
10. Coverage Area
Freight Product Cover applies Australia-wide, wherever freight carriers operate.
It does not apply to international shipments.

12. Final Notes
Freight Product Cover starts once the item has been dispatched and ends when it has been received or collected.
If Freight Product Cover is not purchased, YKINGS4X4 holds no liability for any loss, theft, or damage caused during transport.
All products are securely packed and strapped before dispatch.
This policy is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
